Making impossible possible
He said, “If I have found
favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by” (3)
Our belief in God allows us to throw the word impossible out of our vocabulary.
Time and time again in our lives we doubt and deny the power of God and time
and time again we are proven wrong. We continue to say that we believe the
impossible is possible but the truth is we don't understand that our God is
truly limitless and the more we think He has limitations the more we put
limitations on the amazing things He can allow to happen in our lives. Sarah's
limitation on God was that He wouldn't be able to give Sarah a child, but God
easily broke through the limitations Sarah put on Him and right at the time of
her doubt, she was called her out. Only being able to go so far, is such a
fundamental part of our worldly reality that when we are told that the reality
of God is that there is no "so far", our minds can't comprehend it.
This is part of the perspective change that comes along with following Jesus,
shifting our realities from that of the world to that of God.
Is anything too hard for
the Lord? This was the
question that the angels of God asked Abraham and sarah. This question is
relevant to our lives today. What is hard for our Lord? There are many things
that are hard and impossible to humans but for God nothing is too hard. When
Sarah heard about something impossible to comprehend she just laughed as many
of us do when we have these difficulties. We do doubt and laugh on certain
things that we think impossible. As Bible says there is nothing too hard for
our Lord.
Our vision should revolve around the
reality of God, because when we believe and pray confidently knowing that our
God is limitless, the possibilities of awesomeness become limitless as well. He
is God of limitlessness and He works beyond our limitations.
Prayer: Father, allow me to see that when You
and Your abundant power and love is on my side, impossible becomes just a
powerless word. Amen.

are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as
impossible situations.” - Charles R. Swindoll
