REDEMPTION IN CHRIST
For I am sure that neither death
nor life , nor angels, nor rulers……………..nor anything else in all creation will
be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (v.38,39)
Paul's letter to Romans is the most systematic of all
Pauline letters in its theological presentation. The themes like justification
and redemption by faith through the love of Christ are supplemented by a series
of rhetorical questions. The conclusion of the discussions are summarized in
the last verses of Ch.8," All things work together for good to those who
are called and loved according to the divine purpose". They will be
predestined and justified too.
REDEMPTION BY SACRIFICIAL SHARING
The redemptive experience is a continuing journey with
Christ. No one can stand against us on the track as God is omniscient and
omnipotent. God in Jesus Christ loves us and choose us first. Paul says "
among the sinners I am the foremost" ( 1 Tim.1;12) By His divine mercy
Paul was chosen for a special purpose. We are all gracefully chosen. Gods
perfect demonstration of love towards humanity is on the cross. So He is on
guard for those who love Him clearly ,nearly and dearly. In Christ we
have no condemnation or separation. The martyr Stephen experiences the same
presence at his passing. Thus we have to be also confident in our spiritual
journey. God is capable to address our struggles and frailties. Those who seek
the Lord lack no good thing( Psalm 34 ;10).Even the believers in our time more
concerned about their own, than they seek God as the protector of all the
blessings and benefits. Whatever we received to be broken for better causes.
REDEMPTION THROUGH TRIALS
Jesus says " you face trials and problems in the
world, but take courage I have conquered the world " ( John 16;33).In 2
Timothy 4 :16 Paul added ………….the Lord stood by me and gave strength .Tribulations
will strengthen us when we are in it and also strengthen our communion between
Jesus and fellow believers. Christian way is a surer and nobler way of
conquest by faith and patience than by fire and sword (Mathew Henry). The
merit of Christ's death taking the sting out of all these troubles. The blessed
one are the most rejected. Every one deserted Jesus at His crucifixion but
Jesus peacefully submitted His life into Fathers hands. Jesus experiences the
shepherding of the divine Father.
Prayer: Help me to walk right more by faith less by
sight.......Amen
Thought for the day : Christs redemptive
love is so gracious and generous.
