Healing and Wholeness

2 through the middle of
the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with
its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of
the tree are for the healing of the nations.
When we bring up the topic of healing and wholeness the first thing that most often comes to mind is the healing of the physical self. The healing of the blind, deaf, mute, etc. But how often do we think of the spiritual healing. When we look to ourselves how much is our spirit hurting? We all go through life feeling we are missing something, we walk around with our brokenness inside. Some people try to fill that hole with the pleasures of the world hoping the void will be filled, but only temporarily. What we are missing is our relationship with Christ, the fulfillment of our purpose in life. This is where our healing and process of becoming whole begins. Though we may not want to admit it or are too afraid to walk the path with Christ our end reward is mentioned in Rev 22:1-5
Revelations 22:1-5 describes the epitome of what the bible had come too. Through the sacrifice of Jesus we have been saved and we have been promised an eternal home. In this passage we are given a glimpse of our eternal home where is no pain, no suffering, no disease, and no loneliness. A new Eden has been created where we can walk with the Lord and have an intimate relationship with him. We no longer need the light of the sun because the light of the Father is more than enough to satisfy us. The fact that we get to walk with our father in heaven side by side is such an amazing feeling it’s impossible to describe.
We walk upon this earth with the burden of the world on our shoulders, but as we look to the heavens and stretch out our arms to the Father above we know there is one that we can follow and know that his love is all we need in our lives. To experience that love is the grace we have been given and should share with those around us. The healing and wholeness we seek is through a relationship with Christ so that when the end comes we may live in the new Eden side by side with our God.

PRAYER
Lord help us realize
that we don’t walk this path alone but you are carrying us and holding us. Lead
on this journey of healing and wholeness so we may become closer to you. Amen
