Identifying The Risen Lord In The
Workplace
Julie Vinod
Salem MTC, NY
27 But Barnabas took him, brought him to the apostles,
and described for them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who had spoken to
him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
Saul was in despair and experiencing loneliness when Barnabas took him to apostles. Barnabas had the trust and respect of the apostles. He knew Saul and his past but he did not allow this to affect his present. In fact, he said, this was the man whom we all feared, but today he is a new child of God, we must accept him as one of us. There could be couple of reasons why Barnabas defended Saul? First, he knew Christ as a savior and will change lives and secondly, the spirit of God was manifested through him.
If we believe in risen God, we must identify him anywhere even in the work place. We must accept people the way they are. People should be able to see Jesus in us. God puts people into our life for a reason. It is easy to love who are good or resemble our interests and us. But God has called us to love the dirty, defiled and incomplete. These people may not look like you or act like you but God is in complete charge and we must acknowledge them as God places them into our lives. Barnabas did this for Saul, supported him in need. And finally Saul gained the trust and acceptance of Jerusalem.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, help us to
identify you as our Savior in our lives and in the work place and guide us as
we walk in Christian life and acknowledge your creation in your own image. In
Jesus precious name, Amen.
