COMMUNION WITH THE RISEN LORD IN CHRIST IN DAILY LIFE
Psalms 23
Vs 6 “Surely Goodness and mercy shall follow me in all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Did we ever feel overwhelmed with stress and problems that we cannot endure anymore? Are we at our wits end, not knowing what to do and which step to make next? Clouds are hovering upon us and we do not see any way out to escape. We get depressed, panic and fear stricken.
Scripture says to look unto the great shepherd. David says” even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me and thy rod and thy staff comfort me “ . The lonely sheep that ran away from the herd is saying “I am sorry, I ran away for my own pleasures and am lost now. But the good shepherd is coming looking for me leaving the ninety-nine.”
The resurrected Lord is coming after each one of us in our daily lives. Are we ready to accept him and have fellowship and communion with him? The two disciples that went to Emmaus when they reached home invited their hitherto unknown guest to come and stay with them that night. Luke 24 ;29 says “But they urged him strongly, to stay with us, for it is nearing evening the day is almost over”. Their eyes were opened when the Lord broke the bread and gave it to them.
Peter and his friends went back to their old profession of fishing and these experts of the sea toiled in vain whole night without catching a fish. Jesus came to them in the early morning and said “come and eat. Breakfast is ready” But the disciples failed to recognize who their master was. Paul said in Phil 3:13 ,14 “forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”. We need to have the communion with and the power of the risen Lord to live in this world.
The whole world is going through a turbulence. Kings, presidents, dictators, high officials and those who thought they can conquer the world with their power and might are all perplexed and looking alarmingly what to do next to contain the virus. Almost 3 million people have been vanished from the face of the earth and many lost their immediate ones. The only hope for humanity is to turn to their creator and plead for mercy. People are crying out and recognizing and repenting of their sins. Communion with the risen Christ and walking with him daily surrendering one’s ego, pride and dominating evil thoughts at his feet and looking at the rugged cross is the only answer. Psalms 119:107 says “I am afflicted very much. Quicken me O Jehovah
according to thy word. The blessed message for us today morning is that in times of trouble and in our daily lives “He is our refuge and strength and an ever-present help”. He Prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies and His goodness and Mercy shall follow us in all the days of our life”. Amen

PRAYER
Lord we come to thy presence with a broken and contrite heart this morning. Accept us and save us. Allow us to live with the power of resurrection and have a communion with you daily.
Amen.
