FESTIVAL OF UNITY OF THE COMMUNION OF CHURCHES IN India
2 Cori 4:7-15Verse 15: All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
Here Apostle Paul is trying to depict human fragility and unworthiness. The idea that the absolute inefficiency of human beings reveals that the total sufficiency of God is, what matters. We always carry around in our bodies the death of Jesus. The frailty of the clay jar is revealed through the life of Paul, in his instant hardships, and persecutions he endured for the sake of the Gospel. Through our endurance, Christ's resurrection and power are revealed in our bodies. Human weakness provides the occasion for the triumph of divine power. Paul wants to make it clear the infinite value of salvation and is a treasure from God.
In our suffering, God reveals Jesus and his saving work to the world. As we give our lives to the spread of the gospel, we may sufffer rejection, abandonment or physical pain. But as we share Pauls's hope, God will use our suffering as a means of making his power and salvation Known. Though outwardly we are sick and suffering, yet inwardly it is being renewed continously by His Grace. Our hope for the eternal glory outweighs all that we endure in our body for the furtherence of Spreading the Gospel. Paul continues to admonish us that we should fix our eyes on eternal which is not seen, and not on the experiences and circumstances that are seen and are merely temporary and fleeting.
Christian unity among churches are very imortant in global evangelism. The second coming of the Lord is near, and it is high time to keep off from trivial things and to stop the rivalry between the churches. CCI is trying to do one step ahead in uniting the member churches im promoting evanglism, service and help in all areas available.
Lord, we know that we are nothing but earthen vessels, which are frail and unworthy. Strengthen us to carry the body of Jesus in our life to manifest our divine power and strength.
