 GLORIOUS DIVINE CREATION

     COLOS 1:15-23

VS23 if you continue in your faith established and firm and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.

In today’s portion of our meditation, it deals mainly with the supremacy of the son of God. The son is the image of the invisible God the firstborn over all creation.  For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible whether thrones or power. rulers or authorities. all things were created through Him and for Him. He is the head of the body; the church and he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead and He has supremacy over all the creations. Apostle Paul was determined that the church in Colossae gives Jesus Christ preeminence in everything. Paul wants them to live a life worthy of the Lord pleasing Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God Day by day. God has rescued us from the power of the darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves most and in whom we have redemption and forgiveness of sins.
Jesus is greater than humanity’s sin. He is greater than death and the devil. In a world that often feels out of control, we the believers can rejoice and can have hope that Jesus Christ is reconciling all things to the father and will bring peace and solidarity in the universe. Our worship and praise shall permeate into every aspect of the individual as well as to the church as a whole.
God chose Christ’s death on the cross as the means of bringing all creations back into harmony with God. We are again part of this creation that is alienated from GOD. Our sins did this but the death of Christ on the cross makes us fit to appear before God holy and blameless and irreproachable. God wants us to continue in the truth that we have learned and experienced and never deviate from it. How can we put the truth we know about this God into practice?
We have to meditate on the truth. The more we think and study about this truth the better we will understand it and the more it will help to change our life. We can share the truth we learned with our friends. When we share, we are passing this great knowledge to others who are still living in ignorance. When challenged always be ready to stand up for the truth boldly.  We are called to defend the truth with gentleness and respect. Meekness and shying away from confrontations do not help. There can be times when the truth can be confusing and uncomfortable.  But we are called to continue honoring Him by doing and saying what we know to be true and in doing so God will ultimately give us the wisdom to stand and draw us closer to Him every day.

                                                Prayer
Lord make us strong to be a witness for you in this troubled world. Use us to make a difference in the world we live in through our actions and deeds. Let the world realize that you created this world, and you are in control. Amen

Thought for the Day

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Let us be ready to greet Him as His coming back is very imminent.
