Discipleship: Calling for Christ Experience
Psalms 139
You, your body, soul, and spirit were “formed” and “skillfully wrought” by God with each day of your life fashioned in detail like the pages in a book. You, your existence, your features, your experience, and your abilities are not a mistake. It is when we deeply understand and acknowledge this verse that we accomplish, achieve, or overcome and the once thought impossible items in our life become possible. We all are skillfully made. Whether we are teachers, farmers, carpenters, or fishermen, it does not matter we are all skillfully made. Once that’s acknowledged, the meekest is capable of becoming the best. 1 Corinthians Chapter 12 verses 27-28 states "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues”. We are all part of one body and miracles, and the gifts of healing are promised to us.
How many of us treasure and acknowledge the way we are made? Many are going after the pleasures of drugs, alcohol, and suicide rates have gone up because it has become difficult to find pleasure in the joy of us being simply us. We are happy to say we are blessed to others. We testify by saying we are blessed; however our actions portray that we are not satisfied with our lives. We have lost the “awe or joy” in simply focusing on how skillfully and amazingly we all are created. How can we regain the joy and the wonder in how beautifully God has created us?
Focus on what we have rather than on what we don’t have
Learn to be grateful to God first, not only for the blessings we see but for the blessings we do not see and count as blessings
Take pain and challenges in life as blessings because our minds cannot
comprehend what we are being trained for
Everyone in our lives has a role they play which is essential for us. It’s not a mistake.
Every life matters, we are all part of God’s church as Paul states whether we are apostles, prophets, or teachers each one of us is part of Christ’s body. the church is called the body of Christ because Christ is the head of the church and we are called to do the work of Christ, each like members of a body. We have different skills, purposes, and spiritual gifts, yet every believer is equally important to the full functioning and mission of the church.

Prayer
Lord help us to understand the value of the life you have given us. Help us fulfill your will perfectly. Amen
