Title: Appointed to his Service
1st Timothy 1:12-17
Theme Verse:
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Romans 10:14-15)

Dearly beloved,
Do you remember? Do you remember when you were called into his service?
I remember when God called me and appointed me to his service at a church retreat. I heard the invitation from the preacher. “My Son, crucify the flesh and follow Christ”. At the time I was 14 years old, weighed down by the troubles of this life, didn’t see any hope and steeped in sin, an enemy of God. Oh but blessed are the feet that bring good news , That day I called upon the name of the Lord and was saved ! He will redeem your situation if you would let him. You are unable but he is able ! You are unwilling but he is willing ! You are not enough but he is more than enough! He is mighty to save!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been given to you. Do you understand the importance of such a message? You are ambassadors of Christ appointed to share the good news of God. When you were first called you were sinners, rejecting the truth and rebellious to your parents. You have received mercy to show the love of Christ to those who are still living in darkness. When did that commission stop! As long as we have breath we must testify of Christ! To be appointed is to be set aside beforehand for a special purpose. You are appointed for divine purpose to share the Good news of Jesus Christ to this generation! Our youths desperately need Jesus. More than bible study , more than conventions and more than just coming to church. They need to experience the presence of Jesus Christ.

Prayer
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given us strength, that he considered us trustworthy, appointing us to his service. Amen
