Jesus Christ Who Restores
1 Corinthians15:20-28
vs 22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive”1st Corinthians 15 depicts the most detailed account of the resurrection. Paul explains the resurrection of Jesus Christ as recorded in the gospels and the resurrection of believers as promised
in the gospels The Sadducees who were known for denying supernatural things denied the resurrection of the dead. (Matt 22:23). Some people have non-saving faith, like the kind the demons have, as is written in James 2:19, “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble!”
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, liberate us from the bondage of sin and death. He restores the joy of salvation and eternal life in us.
In the book of Genesis, we read about the beginning of life, family, sin, and man’s separation from God. Though the Bible does not define sin, it teaches that it is a reality, and no one is immune to it. Sin entered the world through the first man, Adam. They ate the forbidden fruit to become like God. But after eating the fruit, they were ashamed, and they hid from God. Men throughout the generations kept on sinning and they lost the glory of God in them. “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom 3:23). “The wages of sin is death.” (Rom 6:23)
The Greek word for sin is ‘hamartia’, meaning to miss the mark. That means sin leads us further away from God’s will and purpose in our life. Let us examine ourselves. Are we misplaced from the position and calling of a child of God? We need to be restored to our calling if we are misplaced.
Death came from Adam, and we are made alive in Christ. The law could not save us from sin. None of the sacrifices or good deeds offered by men could wash the sin away. God gave His one and only son to save us from our sins. And to restore the glory
of God in us Today's devotion is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The risen Christ is our hope. Jesus Christ is risen from the dead as the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep. The first fruit is the initial offering of crops to the Lord in anticipation of a plentiful harvest. The resurrection of Christ guarantees the resurrection of believers who have died. The restoration of eternal life is only for those
in Christ Paul’s encounter with the resurrected Christ changed him to a new person. He was restored with the love of God, from a person who persecuted the church to an apostle of Christ. Jesus is willing to restore us today. The question is, are we willing to be restored? Are you willing to give up the old ways and be transformed into Christ likeness? Or are we too comfortable with our unbelieving, demon-like faith?

Prayer
Loving God, thank you for giving Your Son to save me. I admit that I have gone astray in many ways. Restore me O, God of my salvation. Lord Jesus, help me to get rid of the things in my life that hinder my restoration. Amen.
