Glorious Appearance of Christ and the Vigilant Disciples

My Good and Faithful People
Bible portion: Mathew 24:42-51

"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?" Matthew 24:45
Devotion:
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?" Matthew
24:45 .Jesus asks a profound question about the qualities of a faithful and wise servant to his vigilant disciples. Exhorting us to assess how we can be trustworthy stewards of the responsibilities and blessings God has entrusted to us.
Firstly, when we understand a faithful servant, we know they are reliable and dedicated, performing their duties with consistency and care. They are not swayed by changing circumstances or personal convenience but remain committed to their master's will. Similarly, in our spiritual journey, faithfulness involves:
Steadfast devotion to God.
Adherence to His commandments.

A continuous effort to live out our faith authentically in our community.
Secondly, wisdom is about more than just making smart decisions. It's about discerning the right action, especially in complex situations. It's about understanding the wider implications of our decisions and seeking God's guidance at every step. As a wise servant, you consider how your actions affect others and strive to act in a manner that aligns with God's purposes.
As we reflect on the areas where we can demonstrate greater faithfulness and wisdom, Are there commitments you need to renew or decisions to seek God's guidance? Consider how you can use your gifts and resources to serve others and glorify God.
Let us pray that the Holy Spirit, our guide and source of strength, will fill us with the faithfulness and wisdom needed to be a true servant of Christ. So therefore, let us recognize the importance of your role and ask for the grace to persevere in your duties, making choices that reflect God's love and righteousness.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for entrusting me with responsibilities and blessings. Help me to be a faithful and wise servant, committed to Your will and discerning in my actions. Fill me with Your Spirit to serve others with love and integrity, reflecting Your goodness in all I do. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
