Women: witness of the Gospel

Bible portion: Galatians 3 :26-29

Key Verse: So, in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Galatians 3 :26)

Devotion

The context of St. Paul’s opinion “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,” makes it clear that “neither male nor female” refers to our salvation status. All people, whether male or female, you must be saved the same way, through faith in Christ, and once they are saved, they have the same rights and privileges of salvation, being equal members of the family of God. Faith is not just a belief; it is a source of immense power and resilience. It is what helps us rise above challenges and see our true potential. Our experience of being underestimated or undervalued does not define what we are or what we can achieve.

According to Paul, our worth is immeasurable, and our value is not determined by societal standards but by a higher power. By emphasizing equality and unity, Paul states that in the eyes of God we are all equal and our difference do not diminish our worth. In the eyes of God there is no distinction between male and female. This is not just a call for equality, it is the declaration of our inherent power and worth which transcends all earthly distinctions. It is a call to recognize and embrace our true selves, free from limitations imposed by society. Whether you are a mother, doctor, teacher, nurse or a businessperson or a leader in your community, your contributions are invaluable, and your potential is limitless. Each role you play is significant and contributes to greater good. Never forget your worth and the impact you can make. Let us embrace this truth and empower each other to rise higher and shine brighter. Together we can create a world where everyone is valued and respected. Keep shining your light and remember that you are never alone on this journey. Let us continue to support and uplift each other, creating a brighter future for all.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, May Our hearts to be open to the light of Christ and enable us to be your bold witnesses in your Kingdom. Amen
