Living in Hope of Christ’s Return

Bible Reading:  Titus 2:11-14

Key Verse: For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

DEVOTION

The grace of God is not just a gift of salvation; it is also a guide for holy living. As believers, we are called to turn away from sin and embrace righteousness, reflecting Christ’s love in our daily lives and rejecting worldly notions. Paul reminds us that we are to live self controlled and godly lives now on earth, and not just in eternity.
We live with not only the anticipation of Christ’s return, but also the knowledge that God is present and listening in every moment of our lives. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us, giving His life so that we could be saved. Because of His love, we are called to live in a way that honors Him. When we truly understand what Jesus has done for us, it changes the way we live. Instead of chasing after worldly desires, we strive to live in a way that reflects His grace. Just as He gave everything for us, we should respond by living our lives as He would want, choosing righteousness over sin.
Are we living in a way that honors Christ’s sacrifice? Do our actions reflect the presence of God in our lives? Let’s remember that He walks with us in every moment, and let that truth shape the way we live.

   PRAYER

Lord, thank You for the sacrifice You made for us. Help us to live in a way that honors You, rejecting the temptations of this world and choosing righteousness. May we always remember Your presence in our lives and seek to follow Your will. Amen.

Thought for the day

God is with us at every moment. Go through life as if Jesus was standing right next to you.
