       “The Heart of Our Faith”
Bible Reading:   1 Corinthians 15:17
Key Verse:
“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins."

DEVOTION

Easter is more than just a holiday; it is the foundation of our faith. At the heart of Christianity is
the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the moment that changed everything. Without the resurrection,
our faith would be empty, and our hope would be in vain. But because Jesus conquered death, we
have the assurance of eternal life and victory over sin.
On Good Friday, the disciples were devastated. Their Teacher, whom they believed to be the
Messiah, had been crucified. But three days later, their sorrow turned into joy when they found
the tomb empty. Jesus had risen! This was not just an event in history; it was the fulfillment of
God’s promise to redeem His people.
The resurrection is proof that Jesus is who He said He was, the Son of God. It validates His
sacrifice on the cross, assuring us that our sins are truly forgiven. It also gives us hope that, just
as Christ was raised, we too will one day be raised to eternal life with Him.
As we celebrate Easter, let’s remember that it is not just about the cross but also the empty tomb.
The resurrection is our assurance that God’s love is greater than sin, that His power is greater
than death, and that His promises are true. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow with
confidence, knowing that our faith rests on a living Savior.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, and for the victory of His
resurrection. Help me to live each day in the power of His risen life, trusting in Your promises.
Fill my heart with joy this Easter as I celebrate the hope I have in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the day

Because He lives we can live with hope.
